Job Description
An exciting 18month contract opportunity has opened up for a groundbreaking design project!
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation and problemsolving Join a team of industry leaders driving new product development optimizing efficiency and revolutionizing manufacturing processes. Work on cuttingedge designs and push industry boundaries!
Technical Documentation & Support Develop precise manufacturing & assembly drawings QC checklists SOPs and BOMs to bring designs to life.
Production & Design Innovation Contribute to multiple production lines drive new product development and seamlessly implement design enhancements through the ECR process.
Advanced CAD Modelling & Optimization Create and refine 2D/3D CAD models perform calculations and optimize tooling jig design weight cost and assembly processes for peak efficiency.
Process & Quality Enhancement Research and introduce cuttingedge technologies to improve design boost manufacturing efficiency and drive down costs.
Project Implementation & Change Management Assist with prototype builds integrate design upgrades and ensure smooth transitions across teams.
Delivering Excellence on Every Deadline Maintain toptier quality assurance meet project milestones and ensure all specifications are met with precision.
Skills & Experience:
Engineering/Design Experience 24 years in a manufacturing industry.
Design for Manufacturing Strong understanding of manufacturing design and build sequences.
CAD Software Proficiency Experience with SolidWorks 2015 onwards) basic knowledge of AutoCAD/Draftsight 2010 onwards) with speed/accuracy tests required.
MS Office Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Qualification:
Mechanical Engineering degree (BEng or BTech)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
