JOB DESCRIPTION / ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The job holder is responsible for ensuring that safety environmental and quality standards meet company and regulatory standards.

  • Driving safety improvements through regular audits/reporting of plant equipment procedures and activities.

  • Follow and execute the S&OP plan.

  • Operate chemical manufacturing equipment/services to ensure that defined parameters and targets are consistently achieved.

  • Ensure all SIF/DCS equipment is both operational and any defects are reported for maintenance.

  • The job holder must be selfmotivated and use interpersonal skills to communicate constructively and clearly to Team members Manufacturing Technical and other support functions.

  • Outofhours point of contact.

  • Adopts a flexible approach adapting to changing daily production plans as required.

  • Work within a shift team and collaborate with other departments.

  • Assist with the continuous improvement of plant processes.

  • Prooftesting of safety equipment and reporting of any failures

  • Develop/improve Manufacturing tasks and draft / review appropriate procedures to the required standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Process Operations

  • Minimum 5 years experience within Caprolactone or 5 years high hazard process experience within the Petrochemical chemical or nuclear industries.

  • Appropriate literacy numerical reasoning and accuracy skills.

  • Basic Computer skills.

Desirable:

  • Safety training (IOSH NEBOSH).

  • Forklift truck licence.

  • Permit to work/LOTOTO training.

  • COMAH awareness.
