Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Process Engineer located in Northfield MN.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager the Process Engineer will support largescale manufacturing processes that produce Aerospace Technology products. Sheldahl a Flex company has supported the space industry since 1958 by providing thin film materials to space missions worldwide
What a typical day looks like:
- Working closely with the engineering and operations teams to implement process improvements that lead to increased yield and productivity
- Participating in the development of new thin film products that are manufactured on largescale vacuum deposition machines to support our Aerospace customers
- Using Six Sigma & Lean tools to verify process improvements and present results using statistical and graphical techniques
- Developing & maintaining process documentation for largescale manufacturing processes.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- 1 3 years of experience on a similar role
- Has a desire to work in a manufacturing environment that operates 24/7
- Has demonstrated the ability to move fast with discipline and purpose by being persistent and prioritizing the most impactful work
- Has demonstrated the ability to learn & adapt while working through challenges
- Has demonstrated strong collaboration by continually building relationships in teams so that the whole team can work towards finding a better way
- Has demonstrated respect & value for others through open communication and considering the perspectives of all team members
