KBR is seeking a motivated and experienced Integrated Product Support (IPS) Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs CO.

KBR is the prime contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. By applying to this position you are in consideration for KBR employment; however you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MSEIT effort provides leadingedge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the United States Space Forces (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire stateoftheart Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems providing global secure survivable and protected communications for our nations warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

Support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities for SATCOM programs at the SSC Colorado Springs CO located at Peterson Space Force Base

Execute Integrated Product Support for Tactical SATCOM systems from development to operations and sustainment; support the transition of these systems from acquisitions to operations & sustainment activities

Assist in program acquisition and provide product support subject matter expertise

Assist in development of system solicitation documents to include: Acquisition Strategy Panel Briefing and Review Board decisions Product Support Strategy Justification and Approval documentation Solicitation Review Board decisions Request for Proposal (RFP) documents Fact Finding and Technical Evaluation Performance Work Statement (PWS)/Statement of Work (SOW) Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254 documents System Security Engineering requirements Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan and other related documents.

Provide product support planning analysis assessment requirements verification technical writing and review of documentation and integration for SATCOM programs during the acquisition lifecycle

Assess programs against the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements

Evaluate system design and testing of reliability availability and maintainabilitycost metrics to achieve user requirements in mission capability and monitor system performance for improvements

Develop assess evaluate and coordinate product support planning documents to implement a life cycle integrated product support strategy for system fielding and support program milestones such as Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) products Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) Depot Source of Repair(s) (DSOR) Depot Maintenance Activation Plan(s) (DMAP) policy/instructions hardware/software licenses and warranties sustainment concepts technical orders (TO) verification training plans contractor Provisioning Parts List (PPL) and sparing system support plans support agreements Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan System Transition Plan

Regularly participate in and facilitate integration/schedule/product support forums for existing and emerging SATCOM programs such as working groups Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) Depot Maintenance Activation Working Groups (DMAWG) Provisioning Conferences and Product Improvement Working Groups (PIWG); report progress status/issues/risk/potential impacts and resolution options; manage tasks/actions to closure; and capture information and present in an integrated schedule of events and milestones for senior leadership review

Support transition to operations and sustainment activities and assess operations and maintenance readiness for program depot activation Operational Acceptance (OA) decisions and Initial Operational Capability (IOC) declaration

Provide onsite support to SSC customers and MSEIT management in support of Tactical SATCOM programs

Engage and collaborate with a geographically disperse MSEIT program support team to include personnel on both Los Angeles CA and in various East Coast locations

Qualifications:

Required:

  • An active DoD SECRET Security Clearance is required for this position
  • BA or BS degree in any field 15 years of experience acceptable in lieu of degree)
  • 5 years experience in DoD SATCOM acquisition and system life cycle management and operations & sustainment
  • Proficiency in Defense Acquisition System (DoDI 5000 series)
  • Proficiency in Product Support Management for the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (DoDI 5000.91
  • Proficiency in Integrated Life Cycle Management (AFI 63101/20101
  • Proficiency in project planning
  • Proficiency in the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements
  • Proficiency in requirements management
  • Proficiency in writing Product Support documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas recommendations and options to customers senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Experience working with DoD Civilian and Military Customers at all levels (i.e. junior to General Officer/SES level)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint)

Desired:

  • 10 years experience in in DoD SATCOM acquisition and system life cycle management and sustainment
  • MS in technical field or course work in military acquisition
  • Professional certifications such as INCOSE CSEP or ESEP
  • DAWIA Certifications such as Program Management Level 1 Life Cycle Logistics Level II
  • Familiarity in Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) development Data Item Description tailoring PWS/SOW development Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development or Contract Security Classification Specification
  • Experience writing and delivering technical documents and briefings
  • Experience working an DoD space acquisition programs
  • Experience in satellite communications systems
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

Basic Compensation: $95000$120000 in Colorado

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
