Senior Manager: Group Technical Accounting

As the Senior Manager: Group Technical Accounting youll play a crucial role in ensuring financial integrity compliance and transparency across our clients vast operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with executive leadership influence accounting standards and drive financial excellence in a fastpaced multicultural environment.
Responsibilities:
Spearhead the development and implementation of accounting strategies to ensure compliance with OHADA/IFRS standards
Lead technical accounting guidance for complex scenarios including mergers and acquisitions
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address intricate accounting queries and projects
Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the organizations technical accounting capabilities
Oversee central contracts and support M&A activities from a financial perspective
Drive the continuous improvement of the Group Financial Policies Manual (GFPM)
Engage with external auditors and industry peers to stay ahead of emerging accounting developments
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA(SA) qualification
Honours/Postgraduate or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in technical accounting preferably in telecommunications or financial services
Indepth knowledge of OHADA/IFRS accounting standards
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to navigate complex accounting issues
Experience in managing technical accounting teams and driving regulatory compliance
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
Fluency in English; additional African languages are a plus
