Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Environmental Operations team. This is a multifaceted role that supports key operational and financial functions related to global environmental vendors. The ideal candidate will be highly organized analytical and collaborative with a strong grasp of invoice processing and cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review environmental waste and supply invoices for accuracy and required documentation (60%)
- Monitor vendor aging reports and follow up to ensure timely payments (10%)
- Verify that accruals are properly entered to support accurate financial forecasting (10%)
- Generate cost and volume reports related to waste disposal to support environmental initiatives (10%)
- Support other projects and tasks as assigned by senior management (10%)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Accounting or a related field preferred degree can be in lieu of experience.
- 1 year of experience in an accounts payable billing or invoicing role preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in a fast-paced multitasking environment
- Familiarity with environmental operations or waste management a plus
