Chelmsford Public Schools Announcement of Teaching Vacancies for theSchool YearThe Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes enrollment or budget. Position: Lunch/ Recess AideLocation: Chelmsford High SchoolGeneral Description: To provide student supervision to maintain a wellorganized smoothly functioning school environment. Duties include monitoring students for safety during lunch / break periods. The successful candidate will be able to work in a team environment to provide a safe and caring environment for all students. Manage students during meal service.Monitor students for safety and social interactionsCommunicate with students and staff in a positive professional manner.Supervise students during break time.Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served.Perform other duties as assigned.Applicants should hold the following qualifications:* High School Diploma* Experience working with children and/or teens* Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities at the high school level.* Experience working with ageappropriate students in a school setting.* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable.Reports to: School PrincipalWorkdays: 181day work yearHours per week: 10:30 am 1:00 pm or as needed 2.5 hours daily)
