The successful candidate will work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams and is responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance team to gain results in safety performance operational reliability and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include of effective maintenance processes team member training and development identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities and project management.The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts holidays and weekends as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Twoyear technical degree; OR equivalent technical training and two years experience in industrial maintenance
Demonstrated knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance expertise
Prior leadership experience
Project Management experience
Advanced training/certifications in Mechanical maintenance
Strong knowledge and experience with Preventative and Predictive maintenance techniques
