Job Description

Charette is a small innovative HS that takes pride in a strong caring school culture high standards and expectations and implementation of highquality curricula. This is a job to be considered by individuals considering the field of education and working with urban youth!We are in search of an ILA/teaching partner who is looking to become a member of a strong collaborative team that is shaping the future of a new charter school. We are seeking a paraprofessional who shares the background and cultural experiences of diverse urban youth and can contribute in a relevant and meaningful way to our discussions and development of academic support services. Major duties include:Working as a teaching support staff member alongside a certified classroom teacher in a primary content area Providing individual organizational or guided academic support to students in need of more 1:1 or small group instructionParticipating in culture building and team building activities within the school and classroom demonstrating a level of professionalism in communication and collaboration among members of the school community including students families and colleagues. Supporting teachers by participating in instructional opportunities by using appropriate strategies and techniques developed by teachers and other professional staff to support individual student needs. Teaching partners will Supporting a learning environment that encourages appropriate standards of behavior positive social interaction active engagement in learning and selfmotivation by maintaining and monitoring compliance with classroom rules procedures and behavior standards.You will learn much about our school and its mission by visiting our website : www.charettepvd
