Why is this role important

The Business Intelligence team is connected to every facet of the organization as a strategic partner data solutions provider and catalyst supporting the CBCs product content and operational decisionmaking with data.

Crossfunctional and collaborative by nature we work to ensure that objectives strategies and tactics across all departments in the organization are aligned and delivering value to Canadians. As a result we work closely with various front and backend product teams; Content Units including Radio News and Local Services; Customer Success; Marketing and Media Solutions; as well as our BI counterparts at RadioCanada.

To help further scale our BI practice we are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Lead Analyst) to join our team who will take the lead in ensuring the quality of our teams work and collecting business requirements from our stakeholders and translating them into data questions for the BI team to solve.

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst you will be part of a mature BI & data analytics practice at an organization thats eager to use data to drive the growth of audiencefacing products such as Digital Publishing CBC News CBC Sports etc. CBC Gem (Live and OnDemand Video) and CBC Listen (Digital Audio) as well as support the crucial work of our businessfacing teams.

You will play a significant role in unlocking the value of business intelligence and predictive analytics across the organization and will be seen by others as a key strategic asset a voice of reason and a driver of high quality actionable insights across the organization.


Our BI stack consists of PowerBI for data visualization Azure Databricks / Delta Lake for predictive modelling data warehousing and collaboration.
