The Opportunity
The Postman Client Platform team is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Build and Release team. Build and Release is responsible for CI/CD pipelines automation and backend services to manage the deployment and release of Postmans web and desktop applications. Youll partner closely with senior engineering leadership to quickly drive initiatives to strengthen and scale our build and release operations.
About the Team
The Client Platform team is a global engineering organization responsible for creating a paved path for all Postmanauts to develop and release webbased applications. Our platform is the foundation that hundreds of Postman engineers rely on daily to deliver new features and improvements to over 30 million customers. We manage everything from build tooling and shared libraries to development infrastructure best practices and our crossplatform desktop application.
The Build and Release team is responsible for automating the building and delivery of Postman web and desktop applications. We also manage CI/CD pipelines the distribution of artifacts/packages and related services.
About You
- 10 years in software engineering
- 6 years in a management role preferably within DevOps Productivity or Build and Release teams
- Deep understanding of CI/CD build automation and developer tooling.
- Familiarity with modern web practices and the associated technologies(JavaScript TypeScript React etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large crossfunctional projects with meaningful impact.
- Experience with influencing strategy setting priorities and executing a roadmap.
- You communicate clearly and listen effectively. You seek new perspectives and build trust with your team and colleagues.
- You take ownership of problems not solutions.
- Youre comfortable with bigpicture strategic thinking but not scared to dig into details.
