Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager with a strong background in Human Resources to oversee the daily operations of our high volume restaurant. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient and highquality service managing daytoday activities and fostering a positive work environment. The role will combine operational expertise with HR responsibilities including writing detailed job descriptions with training guides talent management staff development employee relations and compliance with labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Restaurant Operations:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient operation as per our SOPs.
  • Monitor and maintain consistent food and service quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all health safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Work with Management team to ensure proper inventory and ordering of food beverages and supplies to maintain stock levels are being done.
  • Control operating costs and maximize profitability while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze customer feedback and operational data to identify areas for improvement.

Human Resources Management:

  • Lead recruitment efforts including sourcing interviewing hiring and onboarding restaurant staff.
  • Create and implement detailed job descriptions and training programs to ensure staff is welltrained on operational procedures customer service and health & safety guidelines.
  • Manage employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Foster a positive work culture addressing employee concerns and maintaining high morale.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Handle employee relations matters including conflict resolution discipline and grievances.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws wage and hour regulations and company policies.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead motivate and manage a team of servers kitchen staff and other restaurant employees.
  • Develop strategies for staff engagement retention and continuous development.
  • Set clear expectations for staff performance and hold team members accountable to restaurant standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to staff to help them grow within the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration Human Resources or a related field preferred or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in restaurant operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong HR knowledge including recruiting employee relations performance management and labor law compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations including budgeting inventory management and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in restaurant management software (e.g. POS systems scheduling software inventory management).

Other:

  • Must possess the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the function is mostly standing for long periods of time. The employee must be able to regularly walk and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls. Good communication skills both verbal and written and be able to communicate detect converse with discern convey express oneself exchange information.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
