- Design and develop geospatial software applications
- Process analyze and visualize geospatial data
- Ensure the integration of geospatial data with other systems
- Maintain and optimize geospatial databases and tools
- Develop custom algorithms for geospatial analysis
- Collaborate with teams to define software requirements for geospatial projects
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools (e.g. ArcGIS QGIS)
- Strong knowledge of spatial data structures and formats
- Expertise in geospatial programming languages (e.g. Python R)
- Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g. PostGIS Spatialite)
- Experience with geospatial web services (e.g. WMS WFS)
- Knowledge of coordinate systems and projections
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with remote sensing technologies
- Familiarity with cloudbased geospatial platforms (e.g. AWS Google Earth Engine)
- Ability to automate geospatial workflows
- Knowledge of machine learning for geospatial analysis
- Strong data visualization skills for geospatial data
- Understanding of opensource geospatial libraries and frameworks
