Class 1 Day Driver
THE ROLE:
HGV Class 1 Driver Full Time St LeonardsonSea.
Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics Sussex and as a fully qualifiedClass 1 Driver you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.
THE SALARY:
34866 per annum
LOCATION:
This role will be based at our site inSt LeonardsonSea.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Various HGV driving duties including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
- Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
- Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
- Provide a professional driving service meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
- You may be required to drive Class 2 or 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
- Able to work weekends.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Qualifications. Class 1 Driving Licence Valid CPC Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence.
- Experience.Previous experience is essential. Multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
- Communication. You will have good communication skills spoken and written.
- Influence & Persuasion.Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
- Planning & Organisation.You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
