Job Description

MCCPS seeks a dynamic Director of Academic Programs and Accountability to lead and enhance instructional excellence. Reporting to the Head of School this highimpact role supervises the Directors of Curriculum Instruction and Technology in Math Science and Humanities. The Director drives academic rigor strategic oversight and datainformed decisionmaking to elevate student achievement.Key Responsibilities:* Instructional Leadership: Oversee curriculum development instructional best practices and assessment systems to ensure alignment with state standards and high academic expectations.* Teacher Evaluation & Development: Lead the teacher evaluation process ensuring a high standard of instruction through clear expectations and targeted professional growth opportunities.* ProjectBased Learning (PBL): Support staff in integrating rigorous engaging PBL experiences across all content areas.* Data & Accountability: Lead datadriven instructional improvements present academic data to the Board and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes.* Professional Development: Coach and develop instructional leaders fostering a collaborative and resultsdriven school culture.Qualifications:* Masters Degree in Education Leadership or related field.* 7 years of educational leadership experience with a strong track record of improving academic programs.* Expertise in curriculum design instructional best practices data analysis and ProjectBased Learning.* Experience leading teacher evaluation processes and providing actionable feedback for continuous improvement.* Ability to inspire and support instructional leaders while maintaining high accountability standards.Why MCCPSMCCPS is committed to academic excellence through innovative studentcentered learning.
