Position Overview:

SAMGI is seeking a dedicated Trauma/Acute Care Neurosurgeon to join our dynamic team. This role is exclusively focused on acute care services with no elective procedures. You will provide comprehensive care for patients with traumatic neurosurgical injuriesin an ACS verified Level IIcenterworking in a highacuity environment that demands quick response and expert decisionmaking skills.The position offers APP support excellent trauma and ICU services and a fully staffed follow up clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide acute care neurosurgical services for trauma patients including evaluation diagnosis surgical intervention and postoperative management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including trauma critical care and emergency departments to provide timely evidencebased care.
  • Participate in followup clinics to ensure continuity of care for trauma patients.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to enhancedelivery ofpatient care.
  • Develop and adhere to standardized protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Boardcertified or boardeligible in Neurosurgery.
  • Fellowship training in trauma or demonstrated trauma experience required.
  • Unrestricted medical license to practice in SD.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fastpaced highacuity environment.
  • Strong communication collaboration and leadership skills.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Fulltime position: 183 flexible 24hour shifts per year.
