Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Oversee daily airfreight operations including import export and domestic shipments.
- Ensure that shipments are delivered on time and in compliance with service agreements and regulations.
- Monitor and improve operational workflows to maximize efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g. customs warehousing ground transportation) to streamline processes.
- Team Leadership
- Lead mentor and manage a team of airfreight coordinators specialists and other staff.
- Conduct performance reviews set goals and provide training to enhance team performance and skills.
- Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- Carrier and Vendor Management
- Negotiate rates and terms with airlines freight forwarders and other service providers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable and costeffective services.
- Monitor carrier performance and address service issues promptly.
- Customer Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and provide solutions to logistical challenges.
- Provide accurate shipment tracking and status updates to clients.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all international and local airfreight regulations including customs safety and security requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in airfreight policies and implement necessary adjustments.
- Mitigate risks by identifying and addressing potential operational issues proactively.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the airfreight budget including forecasting and cost control.
- Analyze operational data to identify costsaving opportunities and improve profitability.
- Review invoices approve payments and ensure billing accuracy.
- Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the airfreight business and enhance market share.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with senior management to align airfreight operations with overall company objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in logistics supply chain management business administration or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in airfreight logistics with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of airfreight operations industry regulations and customs requirements.
- Proficiency in logistics management systems and software.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.

Work Environment
