As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Mars you will partner closely with the Global Strategic Sourcing Director and Buyers to drive development & implementation of subcategory buying strategies and copilot optimization of resources. Youll manage both regional and global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of subcategory spend on a global basis will be key as will heavy xfunctional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders.
What are we looking for
- 7 years of procurement experience.
- A passion for developing strong relationships with supplier and cross functional stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
- Experience in Rice/Grain sourcing is a bonus
- Bachelors degree at a minimum.
What will be your key responsibilities
- You will recommend and implement supply base strategy including assessing and developing suppliers.
- Benchmarking leading RFP activity and driving the qualification/implantation of new suppliers.
- You will also manage supplier governance including supplier performance auditing.
- Direct oversight of $100m) in spend.
