The Role:
The Education and Quality Manager role is diverse fast paced role which will see you working within a team that supports Services to work towards achieving Exceeding ratings within the National Quality Standards maintain compliance to the National Regulations and Law quality service provision and all aspects of pedagogy and practice.
The role supports 8 services across the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs and is pivotal in providing mentoring and leadership to ensure the provision of highquality educational programs for children and familiesThis is an exciting opportunity for a person seeking to develop and extend their ECE knowledge and management skills. Below are some further responsibilities crucial to the successful delivery of this management role:
- As the direct delegate of the Approved Provider (Chief Executive Officer) ensure each service is compliant with all legislative requirements including the National Law; relevant state/territory Regulation; WHS National Child Safe Principles and KU policy and procedure.
- Support and promote the organisational Strategic Plan actively contributing to the ECE department goals and objectives
- Provide professional support and guidance to Service Directors and staff teams in all aspects of early childhood education and pedagogy for continuous improvement
- Provide mentorship and leadership to promote career growth and planning
- To manage all aspects of staffing including recruitment; appraisals; orientation; performance management; resolving conflict; complaints and managing difficult situations
- Work collaboratively with Business Operations and Finance to ensure the longterm viability of KU services; this includes input into the development of centre budgets review of profit and loss monthly statements service modelling and support grant application processes
About You:
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a professional and motivational attitude
- Support the strategic direction of the organisation and uphold the KU values and advocate for children and families
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and contemporary curriculum in the pursuit of continuous improvement
- Able to work independently within a team and across a variety of teams and individuals as part of a large organisation. Uses professional judgement appropriate initiative and is solutions focused.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing reflection and professional learning
- Proficient NESA Accreditation
- Current WWCC First Aid CPR Asthma and Anaphylaxis
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of a three or four year Early Childhood Teaching qualification from an ACECQA recognised tertiary provider
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership/management role within an early education setting of no less than five years
- Sound teaching experience in a range of early years settings including the Assessment and Rating process
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality and contemporary curriculum in the pursuit of continuous improvement
- Ability to produce well written and accurate reports or recommendations
- Ability to examine and interpret a wide variety of data/information
