Days/Afternoons (United States of America)Position Details: Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm Call is required. (Will consider 4 10hour shifts.
Job Summary:
Performs skilled technical tasks in Endoscopy procedural areas under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Assists in the care of patients with gastrointestinal and pulmonary problems. Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures. Cleans disinfects and prepares endoscopy instruments according to manufacturer and professional organization recommendations and hospital protocols. Participates in teambuilding and quality initiatives.
Education: Graduate of an accredited High School or GED equivalency examination required.
Experience: Previous experience in hospital or medical setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.

Must complete the SGNA Associates Program an online Education Program within 3 years of
employment. Participates in ongoing inservice education and training to validate and refresh basic skills
and acquire new skills and knowledge. A minimum of five hours of GI/Endoscopyspecific education is
required annually. SGNA membership preferred.

Frequent standing walking bending crouching stooping. Frequent lifting/moving patients. Intermittent lifting moving or carrying up to 50 lbs. Frequent pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Frequent use of finger/hand dexterity. Constant reaching with hands/arms. Frequent talking or hearing. Corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Exposure to blood body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment. Intermittent exposure to risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Moderate noise level in work area. Requires work under stressful conditions deadlines or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
