Environmental Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologist Orlando Florida

What are we looking for
The Environmental Staff Scientist/Engineer/Geologistis responsible for supporting the Environmental department in all services including Phase I/II ESAs asbestos surveys leadbased paint survey UST/LUST assessments site remediation soil/groundwater sampling and more. This person will complete fieldwork as well as work on technical reports and proposals. This position could travel 25 of the time depending on project load/location.
Shift/Schedule:Monday Friday 8:00AM5:00PM (may vary)
What youll do:
- Supportthe department on all environmental services including Phase I/II ESAs asbestos surveys leadbased paint surveys UST/LUST assessments site remediation soil and groundwater sampling wetland surveys and/or field observation documentation
- Assist in the development of work scope report preparation client and subcontractor coordination and assessment of proper response actions
- Manage and perform Environmental Site Assessments following the ASTM Standards
- Participate in the installation of soil borings monitoring wells remediation activities waste management and disposal and other field requirements using SOPs
- Author technical reports and proposals
- Provide support planning monitoring and controlling project budgets and building solid relationships with clients and team members

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- BS in Environmental Science Engineering Geology or related field
- 1 years of proven technical environmental consulting experience
- Must be detailoriented and a team player with excellent communication analytical and organization as well as time and budget management skills
- Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Valid Drivers License and reliable driving recordrequired
- Ability to travel up to 25 of the time
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- OSHA 40hour HAZWOPER Training
- Asbestos/lead inspectors license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift move push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)
- Ability to climb occasionally
