Job Description

Job Title:Citrix Support Engineer

Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

Legal Entity:Entergy Services LLC

***This is a hybrid position located in New Orleans LA Jackson MS Little Rock AR or The Woodlands TX. Relocation assistance and sponsorship is not available.***

Job Summary/Purpose

The Citrix Engineer will support the Citrix Administrator in providing management oversight and maintenance over the Citrix environment supporting a robust crossfunctional user base of 15K users. The Citrix environment is critical to the successful operations across Entergy and this support role is critical to the success of our employees and contract partners who rely on the environment to perform their work.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform daily responsibilities to support the Citrix environment.
  • Responsible for routine patch management and system maintenance
  • Assist in the design and implementation of futurestate virtual end user computing environments.
  • Responsible to maintain critical business operations of Citrix 24/7/365 which may require afterhours additional hours etc to support this critical environment.
  • Responsible for Citrix policies and procedures best practices and correlated documentation
  • Responsible to support required system reporting (audit performance etc)

MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Required for this Position.

BS/BA degree strongly preferred. Management Information Systems Computer Science or other technical area of study preferred.

Minimum Experience Required for this Position.

  • 2 years of experience managing a Citrix environment required
  • Indepth experience in the installation configuration and maintenance of the Citrix Infrastructure
  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Storefront Server Citrix User Profile Manager Citrix Director Citrix Studio Citrix Machine Creation Services
  • Specific and direct experience with at least one ticketing system (Service Now Remedy HEAT etc.
  • Familiarity with business operations and best in class technology landscape

Knowledge/Skills/Capabilities Required for this position.

    • Ability to perform daily responsibilities to manage and administer the Citrix environment.
    • Ability to troubleshoot with crossfunctional teams issues impacting Citrix users.
    • Strong communication skills including the ability tocreate and articulate technical concepts.
    • Review regular system monitoring verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
    • Provide tier 2 and 3 support for Citrix support issues.
    • Maintain user accounts distribution groups resources and permissions.
    • Strong communication skills including the ability tocreate and articulate technical concepts to nontechnical users.
    • Ability to work effectively with teams and resources in a multilocation crossfunctional network/matrix environment.
    • Ability to leverage continuous improvement practices to provide sustainable value to internal/external customers.
    • Excellent multitasking and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced highpressure environment.
    • Ability to perform problem analysis logically organize and prepare technical documentation and effectively communicate.
    • Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot a problem in a methodical manner.

    • Readiness and participation in a 24/7 oncall rotation when needed.
