Job Schedule: 9/80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
Seeking a Material Process Engineer to work in a lab environment performing various wet chemistry techniques moisture analyses particle size analysis calorimetry mechanical property testing.
Essential Functions:
- Manage projects and/or labatory test with general supervision.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes practices and procedures.
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 2 years of prior Chemical Engineer Lab experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent of 02 years of prior Chemical Engineer Lab experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior Chemical Engineer Lab experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Advanced degree in Chemistry is preferred.
- Quality control lab experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of various wet chemistry techniques moisture analyses particle size analysis calorimetry mechanical property testing desired.
- Experience with American Standard Test Methods (ASTMs) Military Specifications and Weapons Specifications.
- Energetics or Propellant experience is desired.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; Excel PowerPoint.
- Project Management experience is desired.
