POSITION SUMMARY:
The Emergency Medicine (EM) Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CPS) is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the ED and all associated areas including pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultation.
The emergency department has EM CPS coverage 24/7 with the exception ofon weekends and holidays. EM CPS provide clinical coverage during the shifts ofand. The EM CPS will rotate betweenandin addition to every 4th weekend and one to two holidays per year (combination of major and minors) based on department need. The EM CPS will rotate through covering vacation weeks of 3rd shift ED coverage per year based on departmental policy.
In addition to the primary job duties listed above the ED pharmacist may be crossedtrained to assist with additional duties in the department. Such duties may include providing clinical pharmacy coverage in the critical care unit or other clinical pharmacist positions and other duties listed below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS Pharm or Pharm D
Required length and type of experience: Three 3 years of emergency medicine experience
