JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Office of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization (OEC) is actively seeking an intern for Summer 2025 to contribute to various entrepreneurship programs within the dynamic framework of Invent Penn State. Reporting directly to the Business Systems Analyst of the OEC this parttime position involves providing essential support to both new and ongoing entrepreneurship initiatives. Responsibilities encompass a range of activities including administrative support program data collection online research and utilization of cloudbased tools such as Microsoft 365 Suite Salesforce and Workfront.
The projects supported fall under the Invent Penn State umbrella encompassing OECs diverse initiatives programs and events like the LaunchBox and Innovation Network the Startup Leadership Network Startup Week powered by PNC Bank the Invent Penn State Venture & IP Conference and our very own makerspace OriginLabs. We are searching for an ideal candidate who embodies a selfstarting spirit with an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate should either have experience with or be eager to learn CRM and project management tools exhibit attention to detail and process orientation possess strong problemsolving skills and demonstrate curiosity with the ability to question and contribute insights.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role and the candidate should be comfortable working within a team open to learning from others and excel in written and verbal communication. Additionally the candidate must be adept at setting and meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to participate in the planning and of cloudbased projects aligned with their area of expertise and study within the Office of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization. The scope of work can be tailored to academic goals and desired learning outcomes.
Compensation for this position is $15.00 per hour with a hybrid schedule. The position requires 15 to 30 hours of work each week.
