Job Description
Virginia Peninsula Community College is a twoyear institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton Newport News Poquoson and Williamsburg and the counties of James City and York. The Gator Pathway Specialist Student Success Coach engages in direct interactions relationship building and delivery of programming in support of students needing academic career and student leadership guidance and support. Maintain accurate up to date notes with the EAB Navigate software. Actively manage a caseload and maintain accurate notes related to student contacts. This includes students on academic probation through individual meetings group sessions Navigate campaigns and referrals to college and external resources. Facilitates workshops for faculty members staff students and prospective students on a variety of student success topics. Plan organize and execute career preparation events such as workshops seminars and job fairs. Assist with the management of student clubs and organizations and promote student leadership and foster student engagement. Participates in regular professional development as required and/or relevant to the assigned work.
