Job Description
For our client who has been specializing in helping companies dealing with consulting in the field of enterprise technology for over 20 years we are looking for a specialist for the position of SAP BASIS Consultant with over 6 years of handson experience in SAP system operations within a diverse environment encompassing various database and operating system combinations.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize practical experience to effectively operate SAP systems in a heterogeneous environment ensuring smooth functionality across diverse setups.
- Apply expertise in incident analysis and resolution promptly addressing any system disruptions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct performance analysis of SAP systems identifying areas for optimization and implementing solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Demonstrate competence in multiple areas including operating systems networking printing and interfaces ensuring seamless integration and operation of SAP systems.
- Leverage prior experience as a database administrator on platforms such as DB2 or Oracle DBMS managing database operations and optimizing performance.
- Utilize indepth technical knowledge for analyzing SAP source code performance statistics and dumps to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Demonstrate prior experience with various SAP R/3 implementation types (FICO MM PS HR CRM BW) and multiple releases of SAP R/3 ensuring familiarity with diverse system configurations.
- Provide Basis support for SAP ISOil ISRetail or other industryspecific solutions contributing to the smooth operation of specialized SAP environments.
Requirements
- Possess expertise in SAP NetWeaver versions 6.40 7.0 and newer including experience with installations and upgrades of components such as EP PI/PO BI and SolMan.
- Familiarity with operating systems including AIX HP Unix and Windows and proficiency in managing databases such as DB2/zOS and Oracle.
- Experience with job schedulers such as UC4 Autosys and Batch Control ensuring efficient scheduling and of SAP system tasks.
- Experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments enhancing versatility in system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like HANA and Sybase showcasing adaptability to evolving SAP landscapes.
- Exposure to various databases including Oracle MSSQL MaxDB or DB2 broadening expertise in database management within SAP environments.
- Fluent English and German language skills (B1/B2.
