Campus MinisterUrsuline Academy is a Catholic independent college preparatory school for young women in grades 7 12 located in Dedham MA. We are seeking a fulltime Campus Minister who will provide opportunities for students in spiritual formation and faith development as well as service to the local community beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate will be a passionate Catholic educator who is committed to the Ursuline mission and displays a pastoral sensitivity to and understanding of adolescence. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Mission Diversity Equity and Inclusion the Campus Minister will share responsibility for the schools student faith formation program and promotion of the schools Ursuline and Catholic identity. The Campus Minister assists and supports the Director of Mission Diversity Equity and Inclusion with the faculty/staff adult faith and Ursuline formation programESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:In the Community of Faith and Mission:Ensures that the Catholic identity of the Academy is developed and nurturedModels and promotes the Mission of the AcademyDesigns prayer experiences and programming to promote diversity and inclusion on campus and within all Campus Ministry programs Plans and coordinates retreats for all grade levels including the recruitment of student leaders and their formation along with the evaluation and assessment of retreatsCollaborates effectively and on time with the Dean of Student Life and the School & College Counseling Department in providing spiritual guidance crisis intervention and a supportive presence for students and familiesTeaches Theology and/or Peer Ministry courses Plans and directs allschool liturgies reconciliation services and prayer services as well as prayer with small groupsInvites and works with students on liturgy planning prayer experiences and retreatsParticipates in all Administrative team and Campus Ministry staff meetingsProvides pastoral support for students in need by responding to referrals from Student Life and School CounselingService ProgramIn partnership with the Theology Department disseminates program guidelines and requirements to incoming students advisors other Academy personnel and persons or organizations outside the school as requestedManages the student service learning program for the AcademyDevelops relationships and maintains connections with service partners in the local community Advises students on service placementsPromotes service opportunities throughout the communityGuides the process of selecting students to receive annual service recognition awardsCoordinates and implements student service tripsCoordinates Senior Service projectsOversees the placement of each studentProvides materials and schedule for evaluation by student supervisor and coworkersEvaluates student performance and provides final evaluations for permanent recordsOtherAssures that worship space is kept current in regards to liturgical seasons as well as supplied with necessary itemsParticipates in ongoing professional developmentDesigns and/or updates a procedural manual for the Campus Ministry positionOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsA bachelors degree from an accredited institution is required;A minimum of 5 years of experience in ministry or teaching experience at the secondary levelAll prospective employees must be able to clear a background check.Preferred QualificationsExperience in an independent school or higher education is a plus.Background in Catholic theology experience with pastoral programming retreat planning service/immersion and pastoral care or spiritual direction. Willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment. This person must have a desire to work with diverse groups of students faculty and staff with sensitivity and intercultural knowledge.
