We are seeking passionate and caring individuals to join our team as a Physical Education Specialist.
Job Description:
WarrenWalker School is looking for someone to plan organize and implement a physical education program that promotes physical activity health teamwork good sportsmanship and wellness for students in Kindergarten5th grade and potentially including Prekindergarten and/or Middle School grades as well.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum aligned with national and state standards
- Teach physical education classes to students of various ages and skill levels
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment with a focus on effort teamwork and sportsmanship
- Manage and maintain physical education equipment and facilities
- Promote physical activity teamwork good sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles throughout the school community
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into the overall school curriculum
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in physical education
- Ensure the safety of students during physical education activities
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to physical education (including at the Middle School level as needed) such as sports teams or clubs
- Participate in school events and activities
- Supervise recess student lunch and/or arrival/dismissal
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education or related field
- Experience teaching physical education to students of various ages and skill levels
- Experience developing and implementing a physical education curriculum
- Experience in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Knowledge of physical education principles and practices
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Strong organizational and time management skills
This is a fulltime benefits eligible position starting August 2025.
