Your key responsibilities

Our Junior GenAI Developer will be responsible for designing and optimizing applications that leverage modern web frameworks and AI models. You can expect to support government clients with delivering the latest data science and big data technologies and practices to design build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify enrich and analyze data from multiple sources. Youll be responsible for implementing generative AI models working with AI/ML engineers developing web applications and ensuring quality and product excellence.

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience with JavaScript and frameworks like React Next.js or similar
• Experience with backend development (Python FastAPI or similar)
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure Vercel etc.
• Experience developing maintaining and improving web applications using modern frameworks (React Next.js Svelte Vue Remix/React Router etc.
• Understanding of generative AI models (openAI Anthropic opensource LLMs) into webbased products
• Experience working with designers product managers AI/ML engineers to create intelligent user experience
• Experience writing tests participating in code reviews
• Demonstrating deep understanding of and ability to teach data science concepts tools features functions and benefits of different approaches to apply them
• Seeking out information to learn about emerging methodologies and technologies
• Clarifying problems by driving to understand the true issue
• Looking for opportunities for improving methods and outcomes
• Collaborating influencing and building consensus through constructive relationships and effective listening
• Solving problems by incorporating data into decision making

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelors degree
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Must be able to work in the Washington DC area inperson as needed
• At least 12 year of experience with the following:
  • Modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript etc.
  • Backend development (Node.js Python FastAPI or similar
  • Familiar with integrating generative AI models into applications (APIs or finetuned models)
  • Familiar with deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS Azure Vercel etc.

Ideally youll also have

• Bachelors Degree or above in mathematics information systems statistics computer science or related disciplines
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone Weaviate) and AI inference optimizations
• Experience with opensource AI and web projects
• Experience with RAG or finetuning models
• Communication is essential must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights

Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector work may be required to be completed at client EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel 20 30 or more.
