At Aiken County Public Schools our bus drivers play a crucial role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for our students every day. As the first and last person our students see during their school day youll help ensure their journey is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to and from school field trips and extracurricular activities.
- Follow scheduled routes while maintaining timely arrivals and departures.
- Ensure the safety of all students while boarding riding and exiting the bus.
- Perform pre and posttrip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in excellent working condition.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and school staff when needed.
What Were Looking For:
- A valid SC drivers license (commercial drivers license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements preferred but we offer FREE training!.
- A clean driving record and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and the ability to connect with students.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Regular Education Bus Monitor Pay Scale or Special Education Bus Monitor Pay Scale
The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during the school year. Conditions of employment adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year.
