Job Description

Job Title: Social Services Occupational Therapist
Banding:Band 6
Location: Bury Lancashire
Working Hours:37.5 per week
Rate: 32 per hour

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Social Services Occupational Therapist to work for our client based in Bury Lancashire. The role is available for a successful Occupational Therapist to start immediately offering fulltime hours per week for a shortterm contract.

What will your responsibilities be

As an Occupational Therapist in Social Services you will assess individuals needs and create tailored care plans to enhance their independence in daily activities. You will provide therapeutic interventions support rehabilitation and offer expert advice to individuals families and carers. You will manage cases monitor progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. Safeguarding recordkeeping and community integration are key aspects of your role. Additionally you will stay up to date with professional development to deliver highquality care and support to those in need.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Must be registered with Health Professions Council (HPC)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working with older people and people with mental health or physical disabilities
  • The ability to build strong working partnerships;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Decision making and organisational skills;
  • The ability to create a rapport with a range of people especially people with disabilities.
