Job Description

Position Purpose

The Provider Relations Data Coordinators role is to support the Director of Member and Provider Relations and the Contracting Specialists in maintaining the Cooperatives Provider Maintenance Database. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative and clerical support.

Essential Position Functions
  • Maintain and update vendor information within Provider Maintenance Database.
  • Add/remove contracted and noncontracted vendors within Provider Maintenance Database.
  • Maintain electronic provider contract files to include provider correspondence contracts and vendor add/change forms.
  • Assist claims and data entry teams on new vendor set up request.
  • Participate in the clerical aspects of the contracting process including but not limited to specific contracts amendments addendums letter of agreements and terminations.
  • Triage incoming calls emails and faxes to the Provider Relations department process and forward to the Coordinator and/or Manager as appropriate.
  • Process update scan and file provider forms as they are submitted.
  • Upload and Index documents in Cooperatives document management program Sentry File.
  • Correspond with providers via telephone or email as directed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Position
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of oneyear prior experience in a health insurance or medical office is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and SQL.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks as assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with professional telephone and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
