Job Description
Job Title: English Teacher (Grades 35 and Grades 912
Job Type: FullTime
Job Summary:
We are looking for two dedicated and experienced English Teachers to join our team one to teach students in grades 35 and another for grades 912. The ideal candidates should have a passion for teaching English language and literature with the ability to engage students at different levels in creative and effective ways. Both positions require a commitment to fostering a love for reading writing and critical thinking among students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the respective age group (Grades 35 or Grades 912.
- For grades 35 focus on foundational language skills including reading writing grammar and comprehension.
- For grades 912 cover more advanced English language and literature topics including prose poetry essay writing and exam preparation.
- Develop creative teaching strategies that engage students and encourage participation.
- Prepare students for assessments through assignments quizzes and projects (board exams for grades 912.
- Monitor and assess student progress providing feedback to help them improve.
- Foster a positive inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
- Communicate with parents regularly regarding student development and performance.
- Participate in school events staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in English or a related field; Masters degree preferred for the high school level.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 23 years of teaching experience for primary levels (grades 35; 34 years of experience for high school levels (grades 912.
- Strong communication classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage students with creative and effective teaching methods.
- Experience in preparing students for board exams (for grades 912 position).
