Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design development and implementation of mechanical systems that keep the York PA plant operations running smoothly. This role is crucial in ensuring that the manufacturing processes are efficient reliable and aligned with the teams commitment to excellence.

Heres what youll do:

  • Design and Develop Mechanical Systems: Create and implement mechanical systems and components to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

  • Manage Projects: Oversee the planning and completion of mechanical engineering projects ensuring they meet quality standards deadlines and budget constraints.

  • Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with production maintenance and other departments to ensure mechanical solutions align with operational needs and company objectives.

  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with safety regulations industry standards and company policies in all mechanical engineering activities.

  • Optimize Resources: Manage resources effectively including budgeting staffing and equipment to support engineering projects and operational goals.

  • ProblemSolve: Address technical challenges promptly utilizing analytical skills and engineering expertise to develop effective solutions.

  • Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.



Requirements

Must have served in the U.S. Army U.S. Navy U.S. Marine Corps U.S. Air Force U.S. Coast Guard U.S. Space Force U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.

Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in mechanical engineering roles preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical systems manufacturing processes and project management methodologies.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and problemsolving techniques to inform decisionmaking and process improvements.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams manage projects and drive organizational change.
