Introduction:
We are seeking a selfmotivated goaloriented individual to lead all daytoday functions of Human Resources. Duties will include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures drafting templates for HR documents and working with management department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for company employees. Affiliated companies include Dino Palmieri Salon & Spa Palmieri Builders Inc. several real estate and land development entities.
Responsibilities:
Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies internal procedures and regulations
Partnering with management to create recruitment plan and calendar according to operations and salon projections
Overseeing Open Enrollment and managing partnership with vendors
Generating official internal documents such as offer letters coaching letters performance review letters and written warning letters
Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents benefits and attendance records
Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly with CFO
Creating and revising Job Descriptions
Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee complaints
Leading recruiting initiatives to strengthen partnerships with local cosmetology schools
Processing biweekly payroll including downloading employee hours and inputting into PayTime System.
Overseeing 401k audit and managing contributions
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in HR Business or related field
Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills including data entry data processing communication tools and payroll and human resources software
Problemsolving skills and resourceful thinking
Leadership and coaching skills
Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
Familiar with HR federal state and local laws
Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail and analytically driven
35 years in Generalist or HR role
