Job Description

The Account Executive develops and manages the relationship with prospective and existing public sector clients. This position is the owner of client renewal plans development of longterm account strategy and the lead in meeting client immediate needs. The Account Executive is responsible for client retention as well as supporting expansion opportunities and incorporating them into the annual strategic plan. The Account Executive is in charge of achieving corporate strategic goals relative to client base and overall customer satisfaction.

The Account Executive has overall accountability for core service delivery for clients working crossfunctionally with all ESC business areas in order to meet and/or exceed corporate strategic goals and client expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify leads manage and strengthen client relationships and ensure satisfaction levels are met. Responsible for client renewals and for meeting client retention targets.

  • Accountable for supporting the development of a clientspecific strategic plan and ongoing monitoring of the plan with adjustments made as necessary. Responsible for the delivery of annual review of plan performance with the client.

  • Interface directly with public sector clients and groups on an ongoing basis. Serves as the face of Express Scripts Canada maintaining and strengthening relationships with the clients through ongoing communication to support retention and growth.

  • Serve as account strategist both internally and externally and identifies opportunities to maximize revenue growth.

  • Work in collaboration with cross functional teams to address client strategic objectives and resolve escalated service issues.

  • Special projects and task forces as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

  • 10 years relevant experience or Masters degree with 8 years relevant experience

  • Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefits Management or Group Insurance industry preferred

  • Strong project management skills

  • Proven ability to excel at strategic thinking and planning

  • Proven customer service skills and focus

  • Proven ability to work as a team player

  • Superior interpersonal communications collaboration relationshipbuilding and negotiation/influence skills including excellent oral and written communications skills in English. Fluency in French would represent a strong asset

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of financials

  • Ability to travel between 1015 of the time to meet goals.
