This role ensures efficient safe and compliant facility operations while optimizing labor financial performance and regulatory compliance. The role is a key succession planning position for future General Manager opportunities within Clean Harbors.

Responsibilities- Oversee rerefining of oil ensuring safe operations for inbound and outbound shipments oil refinery processes and bulk blending facility operations.
- Manage labor to align operating costs with budgeted and projected revenue including hiring performance appraisals and overtime management.
- Maintain and enhance union labor relations ensuring effective communication and workplace harmony.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and facilityspecific Health & Safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Cochair Facility Health & Safety meetings and drive a safetyfirst culture.
- Oversee compliance with all regulatory requirements including Part B RCRA permits ensuring adherence to environmental and industry standards.
- Lead budgeting efforts manage P&L statements and optimize cost controls for labor materials supplies and SG&A expenses.
- Develop and mentor plant employees fostering leadership growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee preventive maintenance systems and ensure facilities remain clean and presentable for customer audits and tours.
- Engage in crossfunctional meetings and operational planning including sales and capital investment discussions.
- Act as an emergency coordinator in urgent situations ensuring swift response to safety or operational issues.
QualificationsWhat does it take to work at SafetyKleen
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- 34 years of management experience working with a union workforce preferred
- 68 years of plant operations experience
- 710 years in a heavy industrial environment (refinery or PetroChemical preferred)
- 34 years of experience with environmental statutes and regulations
- Knowledge of Clean Harbors policies procedures and systems is an asset
- Ability to lead a team of crossdepartmental direct reports
- Safetyfirst leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence teams
- Strong problemsolving skills related to plant operations equipment supply chain and personnel management
- Ability to set and measure KPIs
- Experience with P&L management and expense control is a plus
- Refinery or hazardous waste industry experience preferred
- Ability to be oncall and act as an emergency site coordinator when required
- Strong organizational interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Computer proficiency and ability to adapt to operational software systems
