EAL Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Hounslow INDB
A secondary school in Hounslow is seeking an EALfocused Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and some with SEND needs.
EAL Learning Support Assistant Role Overview:
- Provide onetoone and small group EAL support.
- Adapt lesson materials to improve accessibility.
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons.
- Encourage student confidence in spoken and written English.
- Monitor progress and give feedback to staff.
EAL Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
- Degree in English Linguistics Education or related field (or EAL support experience).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience empathy and a passion for language development.
EAL Learning Support Assistant Desirable:
- Experience with EAL/SEND students.
- TEFL TESOL or similar qualification.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
