What you will do:
The Engine Design & Systems Integration (EDSI) organization is responsible for the integration of components modules and subsystems into world class commercial and military propulsion systems.
The F135 program offers an exciting array of challenges as the program works sustain & ensure the F35 has a Pratt and Whitney engine forever across the three aircraft variants with the USAF USN and USMC.
The EDSI Systems Analysis team is seeking a selfstarting Systems Analysis Performance Engineer (P3 with strong technical problem solving communication and leadership skills and desire to excel and expand capabilities. In this role the selected candidate will integrate internally with the F135 PSA Team lead EDSI Team Lead and Program Chief Engineers Component Integrated product Teams (CIPTs) and System Integrated Product Teams (SIPTs) to support Performance Operability Modeling and Missions Analysis efforts. The position has upward mobility and exciting challenges ahead working with the F135 Field Support & Analytics team to support todays F135 fleet across the globe!
Conduct gas turbine engine system level performance analysis or transient operability analysis using NPSS engine simulation tools.
Work with Team Lead and take on ownership of technical tasks related to system level performance modeling operability issues.
Integrate with various customers (internal and external) to communicate and resolve issues
Support EDSIT (Engine Design & Systems Integration Team) and SIPT (System Integrated Product Team) meetings.
Work collaboratively with engine hardware designers and government and airframe customers and propulsion system subcontractors.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 5 years of prior relevant aerospace engineering or gas turbine experience or Masters Degree in Engineering and 3 years of prior relevant aerospace engineering or gas turbine experience.
Experience with gas turbine engine performance and basic system level operation
Experience with gas turbine engine test validation and/or flight test a plus
Applied knowledge of gas turbine engine controls and/or software design a plus
US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
Travel up to 10.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with Performance and Operability analysis
Experience and/or knowledge of Python a plus.
NPSS experience.
Agile experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
