The Education Regulatory Specialist (ERS) collaborates with program manager(s) manager and administrator along with dean(s) course directors faculty and allied health staff to ensure that continuing medical education activities planned and/or accredited by MCSCPD meet accreditation requirements and compliance with Mayo Clinic policies and procedures.
The ERS acts as an educational consultant to those who are planning activities ensures compliance with MCSCPD accreditation(s) and supportsapplicationsfornewandreaccreditationwithMCSCPD. Supportactivities(i.e.courses)inadult learning and interprofessional education.Acts as a resource to building better education for the future while meeting compliance requirements.
This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to any of theMayo Clinic campuses.

Bachelors degree in healthcare administration education or a related field withaminimumof 2 years experience within the Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development or3yearsexperience within Continuing Medical Education or supportingaccreditation and compliance in continuous professional development education or higher education administration.ExperienceorknowledgeofContinuing Medical Education and auditing procedures.
Experience with CME tracking systems and databases. Must be able to travel demonstrate project management skills success in managing individuals small work groups and teams. Ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way. Can read and interpret accreditation and regulatory requirements with an ability to translate those to others to ensure compliance. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strongly preferred: Understanding of data management and statistics quality improvement methodology and facilitation skills. Experience with accrediting bodies such as Joint Accreditation Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or similar.
