Job Description

Position Description:

The Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a fellowshiptrained Movement Disorders Neurologist to join our expanding academic program. This faculty position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will provide opportunities for clinical care research and teaching in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Opportunity:


Clinical

  • Provide highquality patientcentered care for individuals with movement disorders including Parkinsons disease dystonia essential tremor and atypical parkinsonian syndromes.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as deep brain stimulation (DBS) programming and botulinum toxin injections.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons physical therapists occupational therapists and speechlanguage pathologists.

Research and Academics

  • Engage in clinical and/or translational research in movement disorders with opportunities for collaboration within MCWs robust research environment.
  • Participate in clinical trials and investigatorinitiated studies with institutional support for developing an independent research program.

Teaching and Mentorship

  • Educate and mentor neurology residents medical students and movement disorders fellows through lectures bedside teaching and handson training.
  • Participate in educational initiatives and curriculum development within the Department of Neurology.
