New Orleans LA is looking for Structural Bridge Design Engineers Entry Level to Senior Level
As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team youll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Youll have opportunities to interact directly with clients become a valued partner on a variety of highimpact projects and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridges life cycle. Positions Available
- Entry Level 04 years related Bridge Design Experience)
- MidLevel 410 years related Bridge Design Experience)
- Senior Level 10 years related Bridge Design Experience)
Ideal Candidates will have:
- At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
- For Entry Level Positions
- Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification or in the process of obtaining.
- For MidLevel Positions
- Ideal Candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
- For Senior Level positions
- Ideal candidateswill have a valid Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Louisiana.
General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:
- Review and check standard structural design calculations.
- Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
- Provide information for design reports.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Prepare projectrelated documents and internal correspondence.
- Perform and check quantity takeoffs from contract plans.
- Review and check drawings.
- Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS RISA3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD MicroStationetc.
- Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc.
- Senior Engineer PositionsONLY
- will take on leadership roles and will be responsible for the delivery of projects will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions. Senior Engineers will also serve as technical leads on complex projects.
