In this role youll be involved in all aspects of structural design and project delivery. Youll work alongside experienced engineers while developing your own technical expertise.
What Youll Do
- Design with purpose: You will perform structural analysis and design for building systems including framing foundations and connections using industry-standard tools and methods.
- Own your work: You will prepare structural calculations and design documentation that align with building codes project specifications and client expectations.
- Collaborate in design development: You will work closely with senior engineers to develop creative and practical structural solutions across a variety of project types.
- Draw and detail: You will use AutoCAD Revit or similar software to create and refine structural drawings with accuracy and clarity.
- Get out in the field: You will visit project sites to assess conditions verify construction progress and confirm alignment with the intended design.
- Coordinate and communicate: You will partner with architects contractors and other engineers to ensure smooth integration of structural systems with other disciplines.
- Contribute to the team: You will mentor junior engineers and interns offering guidance and supporting a collaborative learning-focused environment.
- Prioritize quality: You will participate in internal quality control reviews and help ensure our work reflects KPFFs standards for accuracy safety and excellence.
Qualifications :
We are looking for someone who brings technical skills curiosity and a thoughtful approach to structural design. Youll be a great fit if you have:
- A bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering (a masters degree is preferred)
- A minimum of four years of experience in structural engineering design
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS SAP2000 AutoCAD and Revit
- A solid understanding of building codes structural systems and construction practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Attention to detail sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting
Additional Information :
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Youll spend time working at a computer attending meetings and conducting site visits.
- Some site visits may require you to climb ladders or move across uneven terrain.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds may be needed for materials or equipment.
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary aligned with your skills experience and background. The salary range for this role is $85000 to $110000 for candidates with 4 to 8 years of relevant structural engineering experience. We also recognize individual and team success through performance-based bonuses at the Reporting Center level.
