Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite financial lines insurance applications for private and notforprofit organizations in accordance with Starrs underwriting guidelines and standards. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments including financial analysis and industry research to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
- Collaborate closely with brokers and clients to understand their insurance needs and provide tailored solutions and advice.
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts ensuring profitability and adherence to underwriting policies and procedures.
- Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory changes and market developments impacting financial lines insurance.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate efficient underwriting processes and superior client service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in finance business or a related field; professional certifications such as CPCU CIC or similar credentials are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting financial lines insurance products with a focus on private and notforprofit sectors.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to assess complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions.
- Excellent communication negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment while maintaining a commitment to excellence and integrity.
