Description

WMUR the ABC affiliate in Manchester New Hampshire is looking for a highly creative Senior Creative Promotion Writer Producer to write edit and design promotion for all media platforms. You will collaborate with the Creative Director Marketing and commercial production team to develop write produce and deliver campaign content for broadcast streaming paid media digital and social platforms. While the job focuses on creativity the position also requires strong organizational skills from someone who is a responsible selfstarter. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about producing awardwinning marketing content that cuts through the clutter and gets noticed. You will report to the Creative Services Director. Responsibilities:

  • Produce write and edit compelling onair promos and image campaigns from start to finish that generate viewer interest to increase the brand awareness and ratings for all multiplatforms.
  • Use research and apply sound brand strategy to develop and execute creative concepts via onair news promos station image campaigns original content and graphic design.
  • Provide clear messaging to audience for station and clients brand.
  • Organize oversee and execute projects from concept through delivery directing and supervising video editors sound editors and onair announce talent and frontline video editing.
  • Create update and enhance station onair image entertainment promos and graphics this includes daily program episodes for air.
  • Produce and execute community outreach events including onair promotion and event planning/.
  • Assist with street team vehicle and events.
  • Handson editing and online editing supervision.
  • Contribution to brainstorms across all departments.
  • Direct and collaborate with video and audio Editors Graphic Designers Project Managers and VO talent.
  • Supervise projects with outside promo production companies as needed.
  • Partner with Digital and Social team to develop creative extensions for Facebook Instagram and other platforms.
  • Partner with Marketing Strategy team to develop offchannel messaging for select projects.
  • Foster collaboration with departments throughout the company.
  • Inperson attendance is required.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in TV/PRODUCTION content creation environment via broadcast cable trailer house and/or an ad agency.
  • Must be able to distill broad creative concepts into an abbreviated and effective promotional approach.
  • Experience with Adobe applications such as After Effects Premiere Pro and Photoshop a must.
  • Possess a strong creative perspective with experience at a cable or streaming network.
  • Knowledge of onair promotions systems network television operations and the television marketing and promotions industry.
  • Experience supervising all aspects of promo production including edit and VO sessions audio mix the implementation of graphic design elements and delivery of finished assets for air.
  • Knowledge of production process including linear and nonlinear editing.
  • Proficient in videography and lighting.
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling conversational copy.
  • Strong image and promotion writing skills.
  • Work well under extreme deadlines.
  • Willing to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
  • Drone certification is a plus.
