Job Description

Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Technical Writer
Location: Remote (with occasional mailing requirements)
Duration: Contract

Summary:
Client is seeking a Technical Writer with direct experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC). This role supports documentation and process standardization efforts within the SOC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and standardize critical SOC documents:

    • CSIRP (Incident Response Plans)

    • SOC Playbooks

    • Incident Reports

    • RACI Matrices

    • Website user guidance

  • Draft formal documents: SLAs MOUs KPIs and stakeholder reports

  • Perform process analysis task tracking and coordination

  • Translate technical content into clear non-technical language

  • Work with teams to improve documentation and security incident workflows

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years as a Technical Writer in a SOC environment

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

  • Ability to simplify technical information for broad audiences

  • Familiarity with project management and incident management processes

  • High attention to detail and integrity

  • Comfortable working independently or in cross-functional teams
