Job Description
Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Technical Writer
Location: Remote (with occasional mailing requirements)
Duration: Contract
Summary:
Client is seeking a Technical Writer with direct experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC). This role supports documentation and process standardization efforts within the SOC.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and standardize critical SOC documents:

CSIRP (Incident Response Plans)
-
SOC Playbooks
-
Incident Reports
-
RACI Matrices
-
Website user guidance
-
-
Draft formal documents: SLAs MOUs KPIs and stakeholder reports
-
Perform process analysis task tracking and coordination
-
Translate technical content into clear non-technical language
-
Work with teams to improve documentation and security incident workflows
Required Skills & Experience:

2 years as a Technical Writer in a SOC environment

Strong written communication and documentation skills
-
Ability to simplify technical information for broad audiences

Familiarity with project management and incident management processes
-
High attention to detail and integrity
-
Comfortable working independently or in cross-functional teams
