JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepares meals cooks and serves meals as listed on the menu.
- Make simple estimates relative to quantities of food required.
- Handles and prepares food in accordance with sanitary regulations.
- Tastes and smells food to determine quality and palatability.
- Make servings appetizing in appearance.
- Get food trays ready.
- Utilizes leftovers appropriately.
- Wraps packages and dates food for storage.
- Cleans stoves oven and grills.
- Carries out garbage.
- Assures that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policy and procedures.
- Process diet changes and new diets as received for nursing services.
- Make only authorized food substitutions.
- Assist in food preparation for special meals for parties etc.
- Assist/direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policy and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Puts away stock and supplies.
Must be able to work between the hours of 6:00a7:00p on a varied schedule.Scheduled to work every other weekend.
