Seaspan Shipyards is proud to be Canadas longterm strategic shipbuilding partner for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. As a direct result of this work while creating jobs and rebuilding our domestic shipbuilding industry Seaspan Shipyards is delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada by Canadians.
Vancouver Shipyards based in North Vancouver has been very busy working on some exciting projects. We continue to make progress on two 174m long Joint Support Ships (JSS) for the Royal Canadian Navy the largest ships ever built in Canada! We are working towards delivery of an Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel (OOSV) for the Canadian Coast Guard and will be starting construction later this year of the first heavy Polar Icebreaker built in Canada for over 50 years.
Following that we have several MultiPurpose Vessels that are currently designing for construction in years to come. These projects bring longterm job stability on some of the most exciting and significant shipbuilding opportunities in the world.
