Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or a related field required
- Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration Nursing or related field preferred
- 57 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or similar cardiovascular setting including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role required
Job Summary
The Director Cath Lab is responsible for the overall leadership direction and management of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory including planning organizing and overseeing all administrative operational and clinical activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of quality patient care. This role works closely with hospital leadership and cardiology teams to support excellence in patient outcomes regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement within the Cath Lab department.
Essential Functions
- Oversees the daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab ensuring patient safety clinical effectiveness and efficient workflow.
- Manages staff recruitment training and performance fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and high standards of care.
- Develops implements and evaluates departmental policies protocols and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and evidencebased practices.
- Monitors departmental budgets cost containment and resource allocation to achieve financial goals while maintaining highquality patient care.
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance service offerings develop quality improvement initiatives and optimize patient satisfaction.
- Ensures all equipment and technologies in the Cath Lab are properly maintained calibrated and used according to safety standards.
- Analyzes performance metrics and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Communicates effectively with hospital administration providing reports on departmental performance project updates and resource needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications
- RN Registered Nurse State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred or equivalent clinical certification required
- BCLS Basic Life Support required
- CCVP Certified Cardiovascular Catheterization Professional preferred
- Health ServicesACLS preferred
